Wireframe prototype
A wireframe prototype is intended to represent only the basic layout of the functional regions of an application. In general, little consideration is given to what UI elements will be contained in each region or what user interactions may be required by the application.
Lo-Fi Dynamic prototype
A lo-fi dynamic prototype is intended to represent the basic details of user interactions for an application. In general, little consideration is given to the precise details of layout and design, so that much of the user interface will appear quite rough and "sketchy". Development efforts will concentrate on getting the required interactions between user and system completly defined at the expense of aethetics.
Hi-Fi Dynamic prototype
A hi-fi dynamic prototype is intended to represent the user interface and interactions of an application as closely as possible (within the constraints of the technology used to create the prototype vs that used to create the application). When complete, the finished application and the hi-fi dynamic prototype should look and act as similarly as possible.
