Casino Lobby Client Wireframes CGTV Games, 2007.
This MS Visio based wireframe documents the design for the revised CGTV Games Casino Lobby client application. The the existing casino lobby GUI, while functional, was boring and outdated and the information architecture had not scaled well as new games were developed (see the screen shots linked below). This revision updated the overall look of the application and implemented an extendable information architecture.

Avatar Selection Interactive Storyboard CGTV Games, 2007.
This interactive storyboard is for a web based GUI that allows users to select an avatar image for their CGTV Games casino account profile. A storyboard format was used because the complex interactions were difficult to portray properly with a static wireframe document.
Casino Registration Process Wireframes CGTV Games, 2007.
This MS Visio based wireframe documents the design for the revised CGTV Games Casino registration process. The existing registration process was abysmally designed as it requiring users to register twice - once for "fun play" access and a second time for "play for real" access - and the layout was rudimentary (see the screen shots linked below). This revision combined "fun play" and "play for real" into a multi-step wizard format.

HeroMachine AFD Studios, 2000-2002
I discovered version 1.0 of this flash application online and was so impressed by the concept that I contacted the developer and offered to provide advice to help him improve the UX of the next version. The application, intended to be used by fans of tabletop roleplaying games, allows the user to create a customized avatar for super hero, modern adventurer and fantasy characters.  This link takes you to a page where you can access the original application and the developer's original functional specifications, user feedback gathered online, wireframes, low fidelity prototypes and the 2.0 version that eventually resulted.
CMS / VS.NET Integration UI Prototype Microsoft, CMS team, 2001-2004.
This PowerPoint presentation was developed as a UI Prototype of the CMS / VS.NET integration feature specificially for use in a usability study. It was a directed demo, meaning that the user could only follow one path, and the usability engineer assessed whether it was obvious to the user what the next step was, given the task they were supposed to complete.
CMS 2002 Site Manager UI Presentation Microsoft, CMS team, 2001-2004
This PowerPoint presentation contains screen shots taken from the Site Manager Tool from the CMS 2002. I was responsible for or had significant influence on several portions of the original design and was also the feature owner for this tool durring the MCMS 2002 development cycle.
Server Configuration Application Presentation Microsoft, CMS team, 2001-2004.
This PowerPoint pressentation contains UI screen shots of the MCMS "Server Configuration Application" (SCA) with voice annotations. Click on the information icons to hear the annotations. To progress to the next slide, click on the forward arrow icon which will bring up the view that would appear if you had clicked the UI element it was associated with in the real application.
User Interface Design Specification Template NCompass Labs, 1997-2001
I developed this MS Word .DOT file while at NCompass Labs. It was a first step towards the development of a formal User Experience Design Process at that company.
unavailable Server Configuration Application Dynamic Prototype NCompass Labs, 1997-2001
This is a dynamic prototype that was created to demonstrate one possible way that the Server Configuration Application tool feature of the Resolution 4.0 content mangement server client/server application might be implemented.

Page Archiving UI Specifications NCompass Labs, 1997-2001
This is an incomplete UI specification document that I wrote for a "Page Archiving" feature that was intended for inclusion in Resolution 4.0. The specification is incomplete because the feature was cut from the release.
